We immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1990 and our family has known perogies since any of us can remember. It didn’t matter what country or city we were in, my mom could always whip up a delicious batch of homemade melt-in-your-mouth perogies. My brother, always with a cooler of mom’s cooking, has traveled to many corners of our great country. Living and working out of the back of his truck as a professional photographer, him and the perogies have traveled to the far reaches of Canada’s Arctic Circle, coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, along the shores of the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. Often pan-frying the perogies on an open fire or camping stove sharing them with colleagues and strangers he meets on the road. Always the question comes up, where can I buy these? With our family's passion for cooking and knack for business, The People’s Perogy was established. We are excited to be able to share our longtime family recipes together with some new fusion flavours. All of our perogies are made from scratch daily in-store using local fresh ingredients.
